Las nuevas normas a nivel nacional que permitan a las personas para desbloquear los teléfonos de todas las grandes compañías tienen efecto hoy. Las compañías acordaron las reglas a finales de 2013 , pero han tenido más de un año para ponerlas en práctica.

En general, esto significa que si usted tiene un teléfono de pospago que está fuera de contrato o pagado, o si tiene un teléfono de prepago que ha estado en uso durante un año, usted puede desbloquear para usar en otra compañía. Y no estoy hablando sólo de los cuatro grandes, tampoco. Portadoras virtuales más pequeños y sub-marcas como Cricket, MetroPCS, y Simple Mobile podrían obtener grandes aumentos de aquí.

New Phone Unlocking Rules Take Effect Today February 11,2015

New nationwide rules that allow people to unlock phones from all the major carriers take effect today. The carriers agreed to the rules in late 2013, but have had more than a year to implement them.

In general, this means that if you have a postpaid phone that is out of contract or paid off, or you have a prepaid phone which has been in use for one year, you can unlock it to use on another carrier. And I'm not just talking about the big four, either. Smaller virtual carriers and sub-brands like Cricket, MetroPCS, and Simple Mobile could get big boosts here.
